M. K. S. College, Trimuhan-Chandauna is named after the name of renowned Mahakavi Kalidas- a classical and ancient poet of Sanskrit literature. The Institution was established in the year 1967 at Trimuhan, Madhubani with a modest strength of 6 teachers, 3 non-teaching staffs and 120 students. The Institution is a constituent unit of the Lalit Narayan Mithila University. It has blossomed into a full-fledged degree college spreading over sprawling eco- friendly campus of 30351.55 sqr mtere at Chandauna. The college is providing educational services through imparting higher education in 17 subjects. The college has affiliation degree level education in Arts, Commerce and Science. The crest of our college bears the slogan of Tamso-ma-Jyortigamay- a parablefrom the teaching of Upnishad which means eternal desire to move from the darkness of ignorance of the light of knowledge. The pictures of the crest namely torch (Mashaal) depicts the spread of knowledge and enlightenment in the society through education. It is important here to mention that this college is the only constituent college in the radius of 25 kms in the area. It is catering to a vast population and their insatiable demand for education.

Till the other day the institution was going round and round the orthodox method of education process. The preparation of Self Study Report has opened our eyes for the scope and opportunity around us to en- cash for further improvement.
